Giorgos Agiasoglou was born in Athens in 1982. He began studying classical guitar at the age of nine at the Municipal Conservatory of Nikaia with the internationally renowned soloist Stelios Golgaris, whose classes he was attending with a scholarship. In 2003 he graduated with distinction, while in 2006 his guitar diploma was awarded unanimously. In 2006 he graduated from the Department of Higher Education of Educational Technical Engineers – Department of Educational Technical Electronic Engineers. Since 2003 he has been working as a classical guitar teacher at Music Schools. In 2017-18 he graduated from the Ionian University, Department of Music Studies, in classical guitar with professors K. Kotsiolis and Dr. K. Vougiouka. In December 2012 he participated in the 13th Panhellenic Sports Conference at the University of Sparta, with works by Nikiforos Vrettakos set to music. He has attended courses of Professor H. Käppel of the University of Cologne. He has taken part and won international guitar festivals in Volos, Molyvos etc, and has attended seminars of Leo Brouwer, V. Mastorakis, Z. Dukic, An. Desiderio, M. Socias, P. Vaca, L. Kuropaszewski, etc. Since 2015 he is a member of the Association of Greek Guitarists and artistic director of the Guitar Orchestra of Chios, participating in festivals, from which his students have been awarded. He has given recitals in halls of Athens, Piraeus, Sparta and Chios.
