FREE ADMISSION
The festival from the very first year emphasises the musical education of residents, students and adults, professional and non-professional, refugees and child refugees. For this reason, the festival organises workshops, masterclasses and educational actions, the frequency of which has increased and expanded to cover the entire year. Particularly, in recent years, the festival carries out an educational music programme for child refugees in cooperation with METAdrasis Non-Formal Education Centre in Chios and the UNHCR. Andrianna Neamoniti teaches the programme.
Within this framework, the festival invites Mariza Vamvoukli, musician, conductor and primary school teacher, to design and implement, in collaboration with Andrianna Neamoniti, a music workshop where participants will sing, move and improvise through the techniques of body percussion and soundpainting. The workshop will close with a concert intended to carry young and old alike on a musical journey.
