Based in Berlin, Giocoso String Quartet began its journey in Vienna and managed, thanks to the many and important distinctions, to cross the borders of Europe very early. It was founded in 2014 by soloists who have won numerous awards and are all graduates of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA), which has opened the door for great collaborations and appearances in important concert halls and festivals. The quartet is now devoting much of its work to reaching out to groups of audiences who do not have access to Europe’s major concert halls, such as the elderly and people with disabilities.
Giocoso String Quartet:
Sebastian Caslenau, violin | Dorothea Stepp, violin | Martha Windhagauer, viola | Alexander Kovalev, cello
With the participation of violinists Olga Holdorff-Myriangou and Fotis Pezos
