FREE ADMISSION

Alexandros Tefarikis is a Chilean composer and solo string virtuoso with an extensive international career. His music blends classical tradition with progressive rock, contemporary Latin music and Mediterranean roots, placing particular emphasis on the Greek bouzouki. He has officially released 10 albums and is currently preparing his 11th solo album. As a bouzouki soloist, he collaborates with Jasper Huysentruyt, a Belgian pianist, jazz composer and Chilean resident. Jasper naturally blends traditional and contemporary jazz, combining solid academic training with an impressive international career as a performer, accompanist and soloist.

Together, they will present the Aspro Duo, which features adaptations inspired by ancient Greek mythology and the Andes of Latin America.

Aspro Duo’s music takes the audience on an emotional journey, moving between intensity and sensitivity, combining original compositions with covers of well-known melodies. The piano and bouzouki interact effortlessly, creating an intimate and profound atmosphere. This duo’s innovative and high-level artistic project is characterised by its unusual combination of piano and bouzouki. With its Music Festival, which brings together contemporary creation and intercultural dialogue with heritage and tradition, Chios provides the ideal framework for this project.
