The Greek guitarist Giorgos Tabakis and the German clarinettist and composer Rebecca Trescher, unite their musical quests in an ensemble with its own unique musical language and expressiveness. Their album “Dual Nature” received international acclaim, winning the 2020 silver medal at the Global Music Awards in the Outstanding Achievement category, while it also featured in the top ten of the best new releases for jazz music on the international platform Bandcamp. In general, the response to “Dual Nature” was excellent, as the album received warm reviews from journalists, jazz magazines, websites in Europe and America, with many international radio stations including it in their programmes. Their original compositions for 8-string guitar and bass clarinet move and balance between jazz, contemporary and ethnic music, proposing their own personal sound and point of view in a project without artistic borders.
In recent years they have performed together as a duo in festivals and cultural venues in Greece and Germany and their new album is expected to be released in 2024.
