Konstantinos Zigeridis was born in Serres in 1991. He studied classical accordion (bayan) at the University of Macedonia and the Hanover University of Music with scholarships from the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation and the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Due to his interest in tango, he lived in Buenos Aires from 2016 to 2019, where he studied the bandoneon under teachers such as Rodolfo Daluisio and Julio Coviello. He plays a variety of musical genres and has performed solo, in chamber groups and in ensembles in many countries. In Greece, he has performed in concerts at the Greek National Opera and the Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls. He is a member of the Oros Ensemble and Duo Hedi.
As a guest of the Chios Music Festival, Konstantinos Zigeridis will perform a recital featuring the accordion and bandoneon, with a focus on scholarly repertoire from the Baroque period to the present day.
