Community music programme

With a focus on the place and its people, the Chios Music Festival has been running seminars, workshops and concerts for refugees and locals since its first year of operation. In 2020, we launched our annual music courses for refugees. In recent years, the Festival has designed and implemented the Community Music Programme in collaboration with METAdrasis Non-Formal Education Programme in Chios and UNHCR Greece. As part of this initiative, a series of educational meetings and artistic events are being organised and made available to the public, aiming to bring together residents and refugees, children and adults, as well as music professionals and amateurs.
