Bonds of friendship

The Girls’ Choir of the Sing Akademie zu Berlin is meeting the Chios Music School Choir for the second time, now at the Vigla Agias Elenis in Karfas. Under the direction of Berlin choir conductor Friederike Stahmer, they will sing about tradition and friendship. The programme they will perform builds bridges between places and eras, featuring a selection of melodies from the Greek islands, musical traditions from various corners of Europe and the world, as well as works by major classical and contemporary composers, such as Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms and Leonard Bernstein. An ode to inspiration and to the bonds of life forged through music.
